 Pass Refunds

Refunds are available for unused passes only. All refunds are subject to a 15% cancellation charge. If there is an error on your pass contact Railtrains.com immediately and we will correct the problem. Email contact@Railtrains.com or call 617-630-0270. Passes that have been validated or partially used cannot be refunded.

General:
You must request a refund in writing and send it along with the pass and all necessary proof, e.g. cancellation by a European Railway office, medical certificates in case of illness, etc.
Applications submitted after the 1 year from date of issue refund period will not be considered for refund. A 15% cancellation fee is always deducted from the amount reimbursed. Neither a lost nor stolen pass can be refunded unless covered by Pass Protection.

Unused Pass:
Application for refund of a pass without a validity date must be submitted within 1 year from the date of issue. Application for refund of a pass with a validity date must be made within 1 year from the first day of validity. A refund will be granted if the pass has been made invalid before 1st day of validity, by an official authority of a participating network (the official authority must cross out the front of the pass, write "NOT USED", sign and stamp the date). If your pass is not invalidated, you must prove that you did not stay in Europe between the 1st day of validity and the day you apply for a refund.

Unused or partially-used pass due to strike:
If you could not (or only partially) use your pass because of a railway strike in Europe, contact Railtrains.com.
You will be reimbursed an amount equivalent to the value of the unused days on your pass and the 15% cancellation fee does not apply in this case.

Exchanges:
Exchanges can only be made in event of an error or misprint on passes. Exchanges for an upgraded pass (e.g. from 2nd class to 1st class or from 15 days to 1 month) can be made for a $20 exchange fee. Contact Railtrains.com Customer Service at 617-630-0270 or info@Railtrains.com.
